Tabernero, Authentic Peruvian Wines

Filed under: New Restaurants in Norwalk — Elaine @ 8:20 am

We proudly serve Tabernero wines at Fiesta Limena. This wine is distilled from grapes grown in the Chincha Valley of Peru, at a winery that has operated for over 100 years. The climate there is excellent for growing grapes with a wonderfully distinct taste. Both Borgona, a pink dessert wine, and Gran Tinto, a red wine, are available at our Norwalk CT restaurant. Many people are unaware of Peruvian wines, but Tabernero has won international awards in several competitions.

What Makes Lomo Saltado so Tasty?

Filed under: CT Restaurante Peruano — Elaine @ 8:33 am

Authentic Peruvian Lomo SaltadoMany customers return again and again for the Lomo Saltado at our CT restaurant Peruano. Many say the first time they tried it, they were hooked on the combination of tender, juicy steak and the lightly cooked onions and tomatoes. Some say the best part is the way the rice and french fries soak up the juices from the meat and vegetables. Our Lomo Saltado is a delicious entree because it is prepared fresh for each order, by Peruvian chefs who have mastered the art of this traditional stir-fry. This photo shows one of our chefs cooking this authentic Peruvian dish.

Ceviche, A Taste of Peru

Filed under: New Restaurants in Norwalk — Elaine @ 3:32 pm

If you enjoy fresh seafood, try our ceviche. One of the most traditional and popular dishes in Peru, ceviche is a delightfully unique and tasty entree. Unlike anything you’ve had before, this fish is cooked without being heated. A citrus marinade gives the fish flavor, and turns it white, “cooking” it. We offer both fresh fish and mixed seafood ceviche on the menu at our Norwalk CT restaurant.

Pollo a la Brasa on SkewerOne of the most popular choices at our CT restaurante Peruano is the Pollo a la Brasa, known to many simply as Peruvian chicken. It is a very tender rotisserie chicken, roasted fresh to order, with lightly crispy skin and a variety of Peruvian seasonings. It makes a hearty meal, along with rice and salad or rice and fries.
