Our sister restaurants, Fiesta Atlantic and Fiesta Cove, will be represented at the Fairfield County Eats event at the Italian Center in Stamford next Wednesday night. Aside from our Peruvian Restaurants, over fifty area restaurants and food and beverage purveyors will be offering samples of some of their best dishes and treats. Some other exhibitors include Crumbs Bakery of Stamford and The Melting Pot. Tickets are $50 at the door and include samples from all of the tables. The event starts at 6:00. Proceeds benefit the Fairfield County Food Bank.

Take your taste buds on a trip to Peru with a heaping plate of Jalea at Fiesta Limena. Jalea (ha-LAY-ah) is a combination of delectable fried seafood that is big enough to feed at least two or more depending on your appetite. The dish includes soft shell crab, calamari, scrod, shrimp, clams, mussels, and squid, all lightly battered and fried. It is served with marinated onions and yucca on the side. At Fiesta Limena we strive to offer authentic, homestyle Peruvian food in a casual, family-friendly environment. Enjoy this dish with your family or a group of friends as you get to know Peruvian cuisine at our Norwalk CT Restaurant.

Parihuela is the Peruvian version of French boullabaisse. It is one of the many Peruvian dishes that has a European influence, just like the Asian influenced chaufa and African influenced stews. It is made with clams, mussels, shrimp, squid and soft shell crab, and all of this seafood is served in a homemade stock. This soup is available everyday at our Norwalk CT restaurant, along with a Peruvian shrimp chowder, Aguadito de Mariscos, a seafood soup with a cilantro based broth, and fresh, light soups with clams, mussels or fish. Also look for our daily specials to see when we have Peruvian style chicken soup, which is made with long thin noodles and garnished with hard boiled egg. It may sound different from the chicken soup you’re used to, but it is delicious!
