The dish includes soft shell crab, calamari, scrod, shrimp, clams, mussels, and squid, all lightly battered and fried. It is served with marinated onions and yucca on the side. Parihuela Peruvian Seafood Soup

Filed under: Norwalk CT Restaurant — Elaine @ 11:18 am

Parihuela is the Peruvian version of French boullabaisse. It is one of the many Peruvian dishes that has a European influence, just like the Asian influenced chaufa and African influenced stews. It is made with clams, mussels, shrimp, squid and soft shell crab, and all of this seafood is served in a homemade stock. This soup is available everyday at our Norwalk CT restaurant, along with a Peruvian shrimp chowder, Aguadito de Mariscos, a seafood soup with a cilantro based broth, and fresh, light soups with clams, mussels or fish. Also look for our daily specials to see when we have Peruvian style chicken soup, which is made with long thin noodles and garnished with hard boiled egg. It may sound different from the chicken soup you’re used to, but it is delicious!
