In Peru, Christmas Eve is a very joyful time. Christmas carols play in the streets as shoppers buy their last few Christmas gifts, and firework displays are set off all throughout the night. The most important time is midnight, when families usually celebrate with a toast, presents, and of course, Peruvian food.
